Middlesborough Store
This store, which is on a retail park on the outskirts of the town was completed in early 2009. The location of the store which is within a terrace of similar units was chosen because the front elevation directly faces the entrance to the park which means anyone entering the park in a car looks straight at the building. A second reason for choosing this unit was that there is a return elevation at the front of the right side which provided the opportunity to introduce additional display glazing.
The project involved producing an internal fit out design and working with the developer's architects to ensure that amongst other things, the front elevation included as much glazing as possible. Thereafter the firm produced the working drawings and specifications for the full fit-out, invited tenders from suitable contractors placed orders for the work and supervised its construction.
